Valmed was founded in 2007, located in the north of Italy. Thanks to a great combination of experience and know-how, Valmed immediately became a leader in the production of medical devices, and in high-frequency welding. 

In 2025 Valmed launch the Valbiopure single use System for the Pharma/Biotech market.

Valmed has always been involved in design, development, production and marketing of:

  • Sterile single-use medical devices for parenteral and enteral nutrition: available in all capacities, multilayer or amber for the administration of photosensitive infusion solutions or preparations, with or without filling sets.
  • Drainage bags: from small capacities up to 18 liters large.
  • Custom bags for warming, storage, cardio surgery and blood reservoir.
  • Infusion and transfer set.

Our history

2007

Foundation. First productions in a rented building with 200 sqm clean room. OEM production

ISO 13485 certification and CE Mark. First production of TPN bags

2009

First Production of blood treatment, cardiac surgery and transfer bag

2010

Clean room expansion:

2011

FDA registration (510K) for TPN bag

2012

Introduced new IV Filter kit and coiled extension line.

New proprietary plant of 1500 sqm.

Valmed 4.0

Valmed’s aim is to approach each day with a strong focus on the latest technologies available on the market. Led by a young and dynamic team, Valmed prioritizes Industry 4.0, with all departments fully integrated into the system, enabling seamless interaction and ensuring no information is lost. This allows customer requests to be handled in the most efficient and effective way. Over the years, Valmed has implemented numerous advanced technologies across both production and planning processes.

Welding machines

Welding machines of latest generation with HF and heat seal technology. The machines are interconnected with the MES, where all welding parameters are monitored at each cycle in order to handle any out-of-limit conditions. From the most simple manual machines to fully automated ones, part of the quality controls are already managed directly by the machine, thus having a safe and repeatable process.

Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Manufacturing Execution System (MES), the software developed by a local technology company according to our needs/experiences. It shows real time and a past view of the production, with any reports involving the bags. It manages a series of databases: from one that includes all process validations for each operative center and their goods to one that contains all production reports. It also provides a complete temperature/humidity/overpressure picture with constant air filter control, directly interconnected with the SCADA system.

Warehouse management system (WMS)

Warehouse management system (WMS), giving complete visibility of raw material input and finished product output and helps the supervision of the new automatic palletizer.

SCADA

SCADA, an advanced instrument that monitors temperature and humidity and all environmental and process parameters in all controlled areas.

ERP system

Fully interconnected ERP system, which allows the various departments (from design to sales) and its software, to communicate directly with each other.

Our building

With the latest expansion of our production site, the total area now stands at 5,000sqm.

Thanks to the 1,200sqm ISO8 clean room, we have increased our production capacity to 22 welding machines.
The new 1,000sqm ISO7 clean room is dedicated to the production of Valbiopure 2D and 3D bags.
Two 1,500-pallet warehouses, the first 700sqm dedicated to raw materials, and the second 600sqm, are equipped with an automated system for palletizing the finished product.
A two-floor building has also been constructed for new offices, changing rooms, and a cafeteria, totaling 1,400sqm.
